Specific Unit Description: Education AFR E1 (Eastern and Southern Africa, HAEE1)The Education Sector Unit for Eastern and Southern Africa focuses on expanding education coverage, improving learning outcomes, and enhancing access to quality education across various levels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Support: Assisting in project development, drafting essential documents, and supporting project implementation.
Research and Analytical Support: Conducting educational sector research, supporting knowledge products, and analyzing sector information.

Representing and supporting country-level education initiatives, contributing to strategic documents, and aiding business development.

Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Development Studies, Public Policy, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum three years of relevant professional experience in education or international development.
- Technical expertise in education sector development, ideally with field experience in Tanzania or other African countries.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt in a multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English and Swahili preferred.
