The National Consultant position at UNICEF Tanzania is a critical role designed to support specific projects or initiatives within the organization. Consultants are typically engaged for their expertise in areas such as health, education, child protection, nutrition, or social policy.Key Responsibilities:
Project Implementation: Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of UNICEF projects.
Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and provide detailed analysis to inform program strategies and policy development.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with government agencies, NGOs, and other partners to ensure the effective execution of projects.
Capacity Building: Provide training and support to local teams and partners to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Advanced university degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Health, Education, Social Sciences).
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in program management, monitoring and evaluation, or related fields.
- Proven track record in working with international organizations or government bodies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
The Supply Assistant plays a crucial role in managing the procurement and supply chain activities necessary for UNICEF’s operations. This position ensures that all supplies are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with UNICEF’s standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management: Assist in the procurement process, including the preparation of purchase orders, requests for quotations, and tender documents.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all procurement activities comply with UNICEF policies and regulations and prepare regular reports on supply chain activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or university degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least three years of relevant experience in procurement and supply chain management.
- Familiarity with UN procurement processes and procedures is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
