TATC NYUMBU was established as the NYUMBU Project (Nyumbu Project) in 1977 which was based on the vision of the First President of the United Republic of Tanzania, the late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage NyerereOn December 14, 1985, the NYUMBU project was transformed into the TATC Corporation, which was officially established by Presidential Decree under the Public Organizations Act No. 17 of 1969. The Corporation was placed under the Ministry of Defense and JKT.
The main goal was to develop the revolution of automotive and mechanical technologies in the country (Automotive Engineering). by doing research and creativity so that the Nation can be technologically independent

ARTISAN GRADE II (FITTER MECHANICS) - 3 POST
TATC is hiring for an Artisan Grade II, a preferable applicant is a holder of form IV Certificate (CSEE) and NVTA1/ CBET III or Trade Test Grade I in Fitter Mechanics. Experience is not mandatory.ARTISAN GRADE II (AUTO ELECTRICIAN) - 2 POST
Your responsibilities as Artisan at TATC will include the following roles:- To design simple Jigs, fixtures, and special tools;
- To operate machine tools such as lathe, milling boring, grinding, drilling, and gear cutting machines;
- To calculate and set special machine tool operations eg gear generation setting parameters and numerical control machines programming;
- To assist junior Artisans in the interpretation of complex manufacturing engineering drawings;
- To identify machine tool malfunction for proper reporting; and
- To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
