Social Media and Graphics Design Specialist

TAHMEF is seeking a talented and motivated Social Media and Graphics Design Specialist to create engaging content and visually compelling designs that tell the story of TAHMEF's mission and amplify our impact. This role is ideal for a highly creative individual who can seamlessly blend visual design, content development, and social media management to engage our audience and strengthen our brand presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create original, engaging, and informative content for social media, newsletters, and our website, aligned with TAHMEF’s mission and target audience.
  • Develop high-quality visual assets, including infographics, banners, social media graphics, posters, and promotional materials, to enhance the visual identity of TAHMEF and its programs.
  • Manage TAHMEF’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), ensuring consistent, on-brand messaging that drives engagement and awareness.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns around key health initiatives, including mental health awareness, fundraising efforts, and event promotions.
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and suggest improvements.
  • Work closely with the communications and marketing team, healthcare experts, and project leads to align content with TAHMEF’s overall strategic goals.
  • Keep up with the latest trends in social media, graphic design, and digital marketing to ensure innovative and effective content creation.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience in graphic design, social media management, and content creation, with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices, particularly in the non-profit or healthcare sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
  • Ability to create compelling, on-brand content that resonates with diverse audiences, especially youth and health-related communities.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience with photography, videography, editing and motion graphics is a plus.
